Vancouver, B.C. Sept. 25 2017: Following the recent expansion to Kamloops, B.C. and the win in the Built in Kamloops competition, BC based tech concierge platform Porter has been named as one of the 35 finalists for the National Angel Capital Organization’s (NACO) most promising start-up of the year.
As the only national industry association for angel investors in Canada, NACO represents over 40 networks comprised of over 3000 angel investors across the country. These networks provide support to Canadian startups with expert advice, professional networks and financial capital to help bring their visions to reality. NACO facilitates the connections between passionate groups and other partners that support angel state investing and helps to support a thriving, early-stage investing ecosystem across Canada.
Each year, at the flagship World Angel Investment Summit for the global angel investor community, NACO recognizes the year’s most prominent Canadian angel investors and promising startups. This year’s summit will be held in Montreal from Oct 2nd to Oct 5th, 2017 with the exclusive awards gala dinner where the winners of NACO’s Canadian Angel of the Year, Most Promising Startup of the Year and Exit of the Year will be presented held on Oct 4th, 2017.
Promising startups are nominated by the investment community or through a local incubator or accelerator that the company has been involved with. Porter is nominated for the Most Promising Startup of 2017 alongside 35 other companies.
This nomination just validates that our vision and everything the team here at Porter has been working so tirelessly on. Our vision as a company is to educate the world that the time we have is so precious and valuable, we should do things that are meaningful and will create a positive impact, says Jonathan Natavio, CEO and Founder of Porter.
