The BCIC ISI program is an initiative to help companies hire students and create jobs in entrepreneurial environments. To enable companies to hire more students, 50% of the students’ salary up to a maximum of $7,500 will be paid for through a BCIC Innovator Skills Initiative Voucher, with the remainder being matched by the company.

The program gives students an opportunity to gain valuable and practical skills through employment with a BC-based technology company, while providing these companies with a chance to hire young talent at an affordable price.

Requirements

To qualify for the program, students being hired must be in post-secondary or a co-op program. Eligible companies will receive a maximum of two BCIC Innovator Skills Initiative Vouchers per year, with each voucher being used for a 4-month term of student employment.

The BCIC ISI program is open to all BCTIA Member product-based technology companies. Please note that priority will be given to companies with less than 100 employees.

To apply for the program, download and complete both tabs of the Student-Company Application and submit to Ana Fong-Marquez, Program Coordinator, at afong-marquez@bctia.org.
