Digital Experiences are our passion at 10net. We offer fully integrated, customized digital display solutions – including design, hardware procurement, seamless fabrication and installations, creative strategy and content development plus complete managed services.

How do you celebrate company or employee wins?

We always celebrate the small victories and shout out to great work and extra efforts made by our team. We have a culture of positivity and collaboration on jobs big or small. When it is time to let loose you will find us out back with the BBQ going!

What is the problem that you are trying to solve?

We want to ensure we meet an audience at their level. This means we are always looking for the best OMNI driven solutions that are mindful of budget, lifecycle, support and maintenance as well as integration with existing branding and programs. The tech industry is fast-paced and fluid. Innovation is moving at an accelerated pace – often faster than can be appropriately integrated into client solutions.

What is your biggest milestone to date?

In October, 10net opened our new HQ in the US! It was a labour of love and we are proud to have an office in Portland, OR where the community has welcomed us with open arms.

What is your biggest challenge?

Bridging the aspirational to actual with clients. There are simply so many great opportunities and solutions within the digital space. We are beyond “after-thought” based displays hung on walls. Inspiring and educating clients to what possibility outside a one size fits all commodity approach is an ongoing challenge. Our goal is to arm and educate our clients and streamline a multi-disciplinary process for them.

What is your motto?

We give a s#!t.

How are you making an impact?

We see ourselves as synthesizers and solution advocates for our clients – adapting and applying the best technologies, practices and creative thinking around all available pieces of the digital experience puzzle.

What is your hope for the future of tech in BC?

It is increasingly hard to find and retain talent in Vancouver. A number of our team reside outside of Vancouver. Our hope would be that there will be more strategic and economic initiatives to bring top talent back into BC.

What excites you about your job?

Possibility thinking! Creative solution finding is what I do! All day, every day for our clients, our business and for the industry as a whole.

What was the biggest obstacle you had to overcome?

Organic growth vs. the challenges of raising capital to facilitate growth.

If you can give advice to your 20-year-old self, what would you say?

Take pause and time to let thoughts, actions and choices settle – every day.

What are your pet peeves?

Excuses. I believe in extreme candour and openness in the tech environment because it is so fast paced.

Words of wisdom to other tech CEOs or founders?

Never ever give up. But adapt and be fluid enough to adjust.

What is your formula for success?

Success as a business owner/leader/manager/CEO…is defined by so many different variables but it always comes down to elevating the people who work alongside you. Identifying, supporting and motivating a collaborative team is my top priority.

Radical Candor by Kim Scott

How do you decompress?

Well, my travel companion when I work is my dog Ellie, (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) so how stressed out can I really be?

Favourite movie?

Anything Star Wars or Star Trek. Oh, and of course Napoleon Dynamite.
