AbCellera

AbCellera is a technology company that searches, decodes, and analyzes natural immune systems to find antibodies that its partners can develop into drugs to prevent and treat disease. AbCellera partners with drug developers of all sizes, ranging from large pharmaceutical to small biotechnology companies, empowering them to move quickly, reduce costs, and tackle the toughest problems in drug development.

AbCellera has had nothing short of a ground-breaking year. The company started the year raising their Series B financing from world class investors and finished the year going public with Canada’s largest ever IPO for a biotech company. 

It achieved these milestones while mobilizing its technology and team in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic.  In fact, AbCellera discovered the first monoclonal antibody authorized to treat COVID-19 in North America.  Additionally, AbCellera has begun breaking ground on new facilities and with plans to hire more than 1000 skilled scientific and technical professionals over the next several years, retaining top talent locally in British Columbia. 

Absolute Software 

Absolute Software provides world class Endpoint Resilience solutions and the industry’s only undeletable defense platform.  The company has successfully embedded this software in over a half-billion devices, enabling a permanent digital tether between the endpoint device and the enterprise. Absolute Software provides IT and Security organizations with complete connectivity, visibility, and control. Whether a device is on or off the corporate network, Absolute Software empowers them with the most effective security to ensure mission-critical apps remain healthy and deliver intended value.

Absolute was formed over two decades ago as an IT asset management company that could locate and retrieve lost or stolen laptops.  Since then, the company has become the pioneer of Endpoint Resilience and one of the largest publicly traded cybersecurity companies in Canada. With more than 500 employees globally, Absolute Software is headquartered in Vancouver, with seven regional offices worldwide. In November 2020, the Globe and Mail recognized Absolute CEO Christy Wyatt as CEO of the Year, based on the significant impact she had on the company and its strategy in her first three years.

WELL Health
