About You
Excited by the idea of working in a high-growth B2B SaaS startup environment you are curious and constantly learning – eager to familiarize yourself with complex technologies and constantly evolving industries including cannabis, controlled environment agriculture (CEA) and nutriceuticals.
We’re looking for an intern who has excellent attention to detail, great communication skills and is a self-starter – someone who can work independently and manage their own workload.

About the Role
We’re looking for a Marketing and Partnerships Intern for our Vancouver office. In this role, you’ll delve into various facets of digital marketing, from content creation and social media engagement to data analysis and market research. On the partnerships side, you’ll learn to negotiate, engage, and maintain relationships with partners to accelerate the path to value for both parties.
The marketing and partnership functions work closely on combined objectives so the role will involve understanding the nuances of both departments but leveraging resources from both to reach company objectives.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on marketing and partnership experience in the fast-paced world of SaaS.

You’ll work across our partnerships and marketing team to provide a range of support.

Your role will be to provide general marketing support to our marketing team of two. Typical responsibilities are likely to include:

Content Creation: Assist in the development of marketing materials, which may include graphics, blog posts, social media content, and email campaigns.
Market Research: Conduct research on competitors, target audience behaviours, and current industry trends. Provide insights and recommendations based on findings.
Social Media Management: Monitor social media platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram. Provide suggestions for engagement and content to help increase online presence and brand awareness. Help draft posts and design social assets.
Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data from marketing campaigns to measure their performance and suggest improvements. Use tools like Google Analytics and Hubspot, to monitor web traffic,
engagement rates, and other relevant metrics.
Email Marketing Support: Assist in the planning, execution, and measurement of email marketing campaigns using marketing automation tools.
Event and Webinar Support: Help coordinate webinars and other events. This may include promotion, drafting copy and post-event follow-ups.
SEO and SEM: Support Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) initiatives by conducting keyword research, monitoring ad performances, and creating reports.
Administrative Duties: Assist with various administrative tasks, including updating the CRM system, organizing marketing collateral, and maintaining a content calendar.

You’ll work directly with our partnerships team to manage existing and find new, partners while helping to improve our processes to bring value to our partners and drive new business leads for Elevated Signals.
Typical responsibilities are likely to include:

Account Management: Provide our partners with the support they need to increase or expand their commitment to our product, maximize retention, and identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within the customer base. The goal is to maintain warm relationships to increase the likelihood of engagement and lead sourcing.
Partner Prospecting: Actively search for partners to generate new sales leads or partnerships. This could include market research, networking, cold calling, email outreach, attending events, using social media, and leveraging referrals. The goal here is to identify individuals or companies that fit with our target demographic or meet specific criteria.
Automation Support: Using existing and new technology and tools to streamline and simplify various processes and tasks. This will include data entry, report generation, notifications, scheduling, and more.

Partnerships + Marketing:
Our Partnership and Marketing teams have various overlapping objectives dedicated to thought leadership and lead generation. Help in this area could include:

Community Engagement: Helping drive forward community engagement initiatives to foster meaningful connections. Community engagement activities can take various forms, including
webinars, in-person events, and identifying and working with community groups and initiatives that promote inclusivity, collaboration, and a shared sense of purpose.
Material Generation: Creation of resources related to community engagement. Includes promotional materials such as slide decks, partner profiles and partner newsletters.
