The Opportunity:
We are looking for a talented and motived Learning and Development (L&D) Co-op to join our Employee Experience (EX) team for eight months. The EX team supports Copperleaf’s business objectives through learning and development and facilitates training to meet the onboarding and continuous development needs of each department. We are looking for a co-op student to help support L&D at Copperleaf and expand our ability to support departments in their training offerings.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage training sessions by creating, communicating, rescheduling, and cancelling training sessions in the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Provide support to instructors and learners with technical issues experienced in the LMS
  • Support overall system coordination of the LMS. This may include setting permissions, producing reports, uploading eLearning materials, monitoring usage, etc.
  • Help develop eLearning materials, including script development and editing, audio and video production and post-production, troubleshooting in a test environment, etc.

Skills you will gain:

  • Exposure to the world of learning and development, adult learning principles and effective instructional strategies, and experience working with an LMS
  • Experience with behavioral skills needed to be successful in HR, including communication, facilitation, meeting management, documentation, and more
  • Technical skills, including script and storyboard development, audio and video production and post-production, and graphic design
