Describe your company and your product/service.
Inca Networks works in the telecommunications/video industry. We create carrier-grade video delivery solutions with a world-class user experience. We are a software and hardware company that has gained a reputation for integrating robust analytics and helpful monitoring within our products. Video operators around the world use Inca equipment to deliver beautiful, uninterrupted video content 24/7.
How many employees currently work at your company?
Inca Networks has 20 employees in BC and we’re growing!
Where are you located?
Inca headquarters is located in Pitt Meadows, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Vancouver. Most of our employees have a short commute and are able to spend more time with family by working closer to home or travelling against traffic.
Describe the culture at your company.
Inca’s company culture is based on transparency and openness – people know they can be themselves at work. We also encourage strong collaboration between teams. Additionally, Inca recognizes that our employees love to learn and has nurtured an environment that encourages ongoing training and education.
What does your leadership team (and company as a whole) do to support/grow that culture?
Inca holds weekly meetings to share goals, align on priorities and celebrate wins. Regular lunch & learns are scheduled to share product information and discuss market trends. We also love to have fun together. Whether it’s company potlucks or lunch outings, trips to Vancouver attractions or hikes in our local area, we make sure to foster close ties between employees.

Describe your most recent achievement/milestone as a company. How did your team celebrate it?
In May, we held an internal All Hands conference with the theme: ‘Celebrate, Educate and Inspire’. At this unique multi-day event, we are one team. Everyone is given the opportunity to present achievements and goals and celebrate with one another. Team building activities included a Samba drumming workshop and a fake-money Casino night.

Who is the ideal employee for your company?
The ideal Incan believes in taking a customer-centric approach to making quality, world-class products. They have the ability to work on projects both independently and collaboratively in a team setting. This person is smart, loves to learn new skills, is kind and most likely has a slight addiction to coffee.
What is your company goal for the coming year?
Projects being discussed for next year include a marketing rebrand, a new online platform and some exciting new product features for large customer accounts. We would share more but it’s all quite hush hush. You’ll just have to come by and meet us to learn more.
Tell us a memorable moment about your company.
Sometimes events are organized and well-planned. And sometimes they just happen.
One morning during the 2018 World Cup, whispers were heard around the office about the England vs Croatia game. Who will score first? Will it go to penalties? The questions being asked were many and frequent.
Robert (CEO) and Mike (CTO) recognized how important the game was to the team. The decision was made quickly – The office closed from 11 am to 2 pm so we could all watch the game at a local pub with lunch paid for by Inca.
The spontaneous event was fun and is still talked about today.
