It recognizes companies that have channeled their ambition to tackle major challenges using technology, showcasing unique success stories and demonstrating the drive and vision behind their remarkable achievements.

1. Awards Pitch (max. 250 words) – 20%*

This award celebrates a company that has channeled its ambition to tackle a major challenge using technology. Tell us about the ambition of your business in the past year. Why was the past year so significant for your organization? And how did your team, culture, investors, partners or ecosystem play an integral part in your success?

2. Business Strategy and Background (max. 500 words) – 20%*

Tell us more about your company’s history here in BC. Why does your company exist? What customers and markets do you support? What partnerships, collaborations and relationships have you fostered to support the success of the broader tech community? What are the spin-off benefits of your company’s success for the tech ecosystem and British Columbia as a whole? What are 3 key KPIs that showcase your company’s impact and sets it apart from others?

3. How did you achieve your ambitions in the past year? (max. 1000 words) – 30%*

Give us some detail on your company’s big moves in the past year. Tell us about your revenues, team growth, funding round, new investors or acquisitions took place, new markets explored or new products launched. And in what ways did you harness your innovation and energy to realize your ambitions?

4. What were the results? (max. 1000 words) – 30%*

How did the result of your ambitions positively impact your customers, your team, your community and business as a whole? What are some of the ambitions you have for your business now? What are the lasting positive impacts to your business success to the BC Tech community? How might your story inspire others?

5. Finalist Filming Commitment*

If your company is selected as a Finalist, you will be required to provide a representative to participate in official Finalist Filming. To best showcase your organization’s story, we strongly recommend a senior leader (e.g., Founder, CEO, Executive Leader etc.) participate in the filming. A confirmed representative must be available and their information is required at this stage.
