17 Nov 2016 Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Recap
On Wednesday, November 16th, the BC Tech Association presented the third annual Women’s Entrepreneurship Day (WED) – Vancouver. Part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, WED provides an opportunity for new connections and inspiration, as over 130 members of the BC tech community gathered together to mingle, network, and share stories.
The evening kicked off with Tanis Jorge, Co-founder of Trulioo, who took the stage to talk about her experience as a serial-entrepreneur. We also got to hear from Caroline Dunn, COO and CFO of Vivonet, who described her lifetime of knowledge helping tech companies grow and thrive. Finally, we heard from Angela Robert, Co-founder and CEO of Conquer Mobile, as she explained her reasoning for becoming an entrepreneur.
We would like to extend a special thank you to our sponsor, TD Insurance, who helped make the event possible, as well as our presenting partners Futurpreneur, Forum for Women Entrepreneurs, Women’s Enterprise Center, and the Minerva Foundation. We would also like the thank KIND snacks for providing the event with amazing snacks as well as THNK School of Creative Leadership for hosting the event.
Thank you to everyone who attended this great evening to celebrate women in business and the significant contributions they make to drive Canada’s economy. See you at next year’s event!
