For this installment of Spotlight on Tech, we’re getting to know our friends at BMC, a company working to “Bring IT to Life” to provide their clients with “the ultimate competitive advantage.” How does BMC do this? Currently home to 38 employees in their Vancouver office, BMC has a team of more than 6,500 employees worldwide. “Our office is located in the picturesque south Granville area of the city and our employees enjoy an open and collaborative work environment,” said BMC.

Culture: We are multicultural. We like to work, play, and repeat! We celebrate major milestones – personal and professional, and host numerous social events including BBQs, costume parties, potlucks, annual parties and dear beer with karaoke. We run for important causes and participate in the Terry Fox Run and the Vancouver Sun Run.

Leadership Team: Our leadership team is a team of cool professionals who often walk around the office offering snacks from Trader Joe’s. They work with individuals to understand their strengths and passion and try to direct their energy in the right direction. All members of the team also receive training support and have the ability to attend various relevant events and meetups.

The hard work of our team is what led to an acquisition by BMC. Most of that original team is still here 1.5 years later and work hard to build future BMC products. The Vancouver office has also been chosen as the Canadian R&D site, and is continuing to grow.
