Describe your company and your primary product(s) and/or service(s).

IT/IQ is a specialized provider of IT recruitment and IT executive search solutions to the top public and private employers in British Columbia. Since our inception in 2002, we’ve built our business on relationships and our tagline says it all – We Help Smart People Find Each Other.

How many employees currently work at your company?

IT/IQ has approximately 25 employees.

Where are you located?

We are located in downtown Vancouver, BC.

Describe the culture at your company.

IT/IQ has a strong corporate culture. Our team members are driven, intelligent and likeable and share our values – believe, drive, team, innovation and play. Working hard together as a cohesive unit, we are driven to be the best in our industry and we play hard too.

What does your leadership team (and company as a whole) do to support/grow that culture?

We hire people who are like us – driven, intelligent and likeable. We are committed to the development and mentorship of our team to help them become the best recruitment professionals that they can be. We don’t limit ambition. IT/IQ has a very lucrative bonus structure and plenty of growth opportunity. Trips to Mexico for top performers, weekends in Whistler and Tim Hortons breakfast on Fridays are just a few ways the leadership team supports our high-performance culture.

Describe your most recent achievement/ milestone as a company. How did your team celebrate it?

IT/IQ has established a tradition of rewarding high-performance team members with all-inclusive trips to Mexico. We surpassed our 2017 revenue and customer satisfaction targets as an organization and as a result, well over half of the account management and recruitment team will be going to Mexico as part of our “President’s Club” in February 2018.

In 2018, we aim to achieve our strategic initiatives, which include expanding our market share nationally and growing our team. We are well poised for expansion and have a solid strategic plan to guide us as we work towards our goals.

Tell us an interesting fact/memorable moment/ funny story about your company.

When a new team member places their first candidate, they get to perform a “start dance”. The start dance is a longstanding tradition which gives team members an opportunity to show off their dance skills for their new coworkers. We have had the pleasure of viewing many creative start dances over the years. One of our newest recruitment associates, Samantha Mackenzie, even performed the Carlton Dance from the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
