01 Oct 2025 Indigenous Tech Founders Are Scaling Up with Support from SAP and BC Tech
In its third-year, BC Tech is proud to continue delivering its Indigenous-Led Tech Accelerator with the support of SAP, a long-standing champion of BC’s innovation ecosystem.
This initiative helps Indigenous tech entrepreneurs accelerate their business growth by providing access to mentorship, expert advice and strategic network connections. The program is designed to support high-potential founders with the tools and relationships they need to grow, hire, raise capital and scale.
SAP’s partnership reflects a shared commitment to building a stronger innovation economy where access to opportunity is expanded and more entrepreneurs can bring bold ideas to life. Participants receive a complimentary BC Tech membership, access to the Indigenous Leaders C-Council, and access 1-on-1 advisory and ScaleUp programming. They also benefit from increased visibility through BC Tech’s channels and events.
British Columbia is home to more than 2,000 Indigenous-owned businesses, making it the second largest Indigenous entrepreneurship hub in Canada. By continuing this dedicated accelerator stream, BC Tech and SAP are helping to ensure Indigenous entrepreneurs have the support they need to succeed and contribute to BC’s economic future.
As Josh Nilson, Chair of the Indigenous-led Tech Company Council shared: “The one thing I wish I had earlier when we were starting out, is the opportunity to talk to other founders, C-level people to ask questions or have discussions. That’s the real value of BC Tech.”
