Last year we launched our FinTech Program to connect growth-stage FinTech companies with financial institutions, investors and partners. The program included a series of FinTech Days to promote education, collaboration and connections. BC Tech wants to continue building BC’s FinTech cluster, so we are excited to launch the FinTech Series: a strategic collaboration with Central 1 Credit Union, Coast Capital, FICANEX Services Limited Partnership (FICANEX) and HSBC Bank Canada to host a series of FinTech Days to extend the activities of last year, provide collaboration and access opportunities for BC’s FinTech enthusiasts, and showcase our province as a FinTech hub for this dynamic, emergent sector. The first of four FinTech Days will be held at BC Tech’s Innovation Hub on December 5, 2017, and led by partner sponsor FICANEX, where they will lead an engaging discussion on the future of banking and how they are using digital solutions to revolutionize the customer experience. Interactive demos by FinTech startups and a panel with participation from all four Series Partners will provide opportunities for open dialogue and collaboration between FinTech companies, Series Partners, and the audience. The theme of each FinTech Day will be determined in conjunction with each Partner and shared as we get closer to the event date. Register for your ticket to FinTech Day on December 5, 2017, here.
