C-Councils

Network, share, and, learn with fellow C-level executives.

Strengthen your team from the top down.

BC Tech C-Councils are designed to facilitate a content-rich dialogue among technology CEOs and C-level executives to share insights, best practices, and challenges; with a goal of building better businesses.

We currently offer sector-focused C-Councils for several industry verticals, as well as functional C-Councils for those in specific executive roles within tech organizations.

How to Join

C-Councils are an exclusive Member Benefit of the BC Tech Association.

Unlike other CEO forums or executive roundtables, C-Council content is all business. Each C-Council is carefully curated to ensure that participants are in similar (but non-competitive) businesses and at similar stages of growth. This ensures a peer exchange that is specific, meaningful, and highly relevant to every member.

C-Councils are limited in size and pre-registration is required. Meeting information is sent via email prior to each session, and is only sent to those whose acceptance into the council has been confirmed.

To apply to join a C-Council, please email hello@wearebctech.com.

COVID-19 and BC Tech C-Councils

BC Tech continues to monitor the evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and is taking every step necessary to provide useful resources to its members.  We are committed to providing continued service to our members and the broader business community. As companies deal with the impacts of COVID-19, peer groups play a crucial role for CEOs and Executives to support and learn from each other. We have adapted our C-Councils to be done virtually.

March BC Tech C-Council Activities

We had great interest in our March C-Councils as they moved to a virtual environment including:

  • Diversity and Inclusion C-Council held its first meeting on Mar 10th with five tech companies who are leading the way in D&I. The group was passionate that the C-Council becomes a space for HR leaders to learn from each other in a safe environment, navigating what can sometimes be challenging topics. The first topic for the group was around influencing executive sponsorship for D&I
  • Chief Technology Officers C-Council joined the What Works -Women in Tech session on Mar 11th and connected on Mar 23rd to discuss team morale and staff support as well as the best platforms to keep their teams connected.
  • Gaming Industry C-Council held Mar 25th brought together seven CEOs of independent gaming companies to discuss responses to the COVID situation including how to best support the mental health of their teams, use best practices for remote working, adapt to business impacts and support the greater community
