2026 Technology Impact Awards Finalists Announced

VANCOUVER, B.C. June 10, 2026 – BC Tech is proud to announce the 48 finalists across 11 Technology Impact Award categories who achieved exceptional success in the past year.

The announcement of finalists for the Gamechanger – AI Award was a standout moment of the evening, spotlighting BC companies harnessing artificial intelligence in bold, transformative ways. This award honours both technological innovation and the responsible, visionary use of AI to drive meaningful impact across industries. “At KPMG, we believe AI has the power to accelerate progress and solve complex challenges,” said George Kondopulos, Partner at KPMG Canada. “We’re proud to support this award and the BC innovators who are leading the way with ambitious AI solutions.”

“The Technology Impact Awards Gala is where the full strength of BC’s tech community comes into focus” shared Jesse Dougherty, Chair of the BC Tech Board, “It’s a chance to recognize the companies and leaders driving real impact—those building globally competitive businesses, strengthening our economy, and setting the standard for what’s possible in BC’s tech sector.”

The 48 shortlisted companies for the Company of the Year – Startup award were announced this evening and will compete for a finalist spot this Fall at BC Tech’s Dragon’s Den Pitch Night, proudly presented by Electronic Arts. “Building a lasting business is hard — it takes creativity, grit, and an almost unreasonable belief that you’ll figure it out.” shared Dan Box, VP/GM EA Ventures, “BC has no shortage of founders with exactly that, and EA is proud to support an award that recognizes them early, when it matters most.”

Winners in each category will be announced at the Technology Impact Awards gala to be held in the Fall of 2026 in Vancouver.
