BC Tech is guided by our mission to make BC the best place to grow a tech company.
Tech is a tool for good in our lives, in our communities, and in our province. BC Tech is driven to make BC the best place to grow a tech company by helping firms grow and scale into anchors—the large companies that drive both BC’s tech sector and the economy.
We do this by providing the place and the programs, and advocating for the policies, that help the tech community, collaborate, learn, and grow.
BC Tech Team
The BC Tech team is passionate about tech and excited to connect with you. We’re championing tech in BC by running programs for scaling tech companies, creating coalitions of support for the tech community, and advocating for the industry. We love what we do because we know tech is a tool for good for our province.
Board of Directors
The BC Tech Board of Directors is a select group of passionate, high-energy leaders from across the BC Tech community. Led by our Chair, Laurie Schultz, President & CEO of ACL, our board brings a diversity of backgrounds, experience, and expertise in supporting and governing the BC Tech Association.
For more than 20 years, we have provided analytical insights into the BC tech industry. We partner with industry partners and government agencies in collecting data, developing analysis frameworks, and delivering data-driven impact studies, surveys and statistics-gathering initiatives, we merge trends reflected in data with insights from tech leaders to provide in-depth reports that guide decision-making and resource allocation across stakeholders.
We operate two collaborative spaces designed for community building and growth. Our offices are in the BC Tech Hub, a dedicated acceleration space where growing tech companies have space to connect and learn from one another. The Cube is a shared workspace where growing augmented, virtual, and mixed reality companies are building groundbreaking tech.
The BC Tech Hub
BC Tech is working to ensure the growth of future anchor companies needed to strengthen and sustain the provincial
tech sector. The BC Tech Hub is the place helping make this happen. The Hub has a dedicated 26,000 square foot acceleration space where burgeoning tech anchors and enterprise companies are able to connect and learn from one another.
The Cube is 6000 square feet of shared studio space dedicated to building and growing Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR) companies. Located in the heart of Railtown in an 89 year old heritage building, you are surrounded by stunning views, industry leaders, and game-changers innovating in the AR/VR/MR industry.
