12 May Road to the TIAs: Company Award Finalists
The Technology Impact Awards celebrate the people, companies and innovation that make the BC tech industry world class. With the TIAs gala dinner on June 4th fast approaching, we’re going to take a moment to highlight our finalists in each of our award categories.
This week, we’re featuring the Technology Impact Award Finalists for the Company Awards, which are separated into three categories: Most Promising Startup, Emerging Company of the Year, and Company of the Year.
Most Promising Startup
FusionPipe Software Solutions

Emerging Company of the Year
Cooledge Lighting is a pioneer in scalable lighting products that can be easily designed into a building by architects and lighting designers and simply installed by builders and contractors without specialized knowledge or training. The privately held company is based in Vancouver, Canada with offices and operations in the United States and Germany.
UrtheCast Corp. is a Vancouver-based technology company that is developing the world’s first Ultra HD video feed of Earth, streamed from space in full color. Working with renowned aerospace partners from across the globe, UrtheCast has built, launched, installed, and will soon operate two cameras on the ISS. UrtheCast’s cameras will provide Ultra HD video and still imagery of Earth that will allow for monitoring of the environment, humanitarian relief, social events, agricultural land, etc.
Company of the Year
