HyperGrowth:Life helps build BC's Next Anchor Companies

Meet the HyperGrowth: Life 2.0 Companies!

Genome British Columbia (Genome BC) and the BC Technology Association (BC Tech) today announced the HyperGrowth: Life second cohort. Four companies have been selected to be a part of the six-month program: Careteam Technologies Inc. is a care coordination platform based on a care plan that health organizations provide to patients and their families to improve transitions between acute, home and community settings – transforming outcomes and satisfaction while maximising patient and family engagement. Creatus Biosciences Inc. designs and develops yeast strains for the production of bio-based compounds and enabling technologies related to the utilization of 2nd generation feedstocks. DNA Power’s testing provides information that empowers you to make better decisions about your diet, fitness, and health based on your unique genetic makeup. Understanding your genes allows you take preventative action to optimize your health. LifeBooster Inc. is a health and safety data analytics company that utilizes the latest in wearable technologies to help companies prevent the single largest and most costly injury type, musculoskeletal disorders. HyperGrowth: Life is BC’s first cohort-based program designed to advance tech companies in the healthtech and life sciences industries. Building on the demonstrated success of the BC Tech’s HyperGrowth program, HyperGrowth:Life provides revenue and sales support to growth-stage tech companies in healthtech, digital health, life sciences, agritech and related industries. The companies were chosen after a live pitch event at the BC Tech Innovation Hub. Going forward, these startups will fine tune their growth engine and to grow three times faster. The program is currently in progress and will run until end of March 2018. HyperGrowth: Life is a collaboration between Genome BC and BC Tech Association. Genome BC provides funding for the program: they invest in research, entrepreneurship and commercialization in life sciences to address challenges in a wide range of market sectors, while the BC Tech Association is providing the mentorship and contacts for the cohort companies.
