Innovation to Commercialization Awards

Innovation to Commercialization Awards

The MSFHR Innovation to Commercialization (I2C) Program provides funding support for translational researchers in the health and health services sectors — to advance their discoveries or inventions towards commercialization resulting in products or technologies that improve health outcomes, and enrich the health innovation ecosystem of BC.The I2C Program is one of six new MSFHR programs developed to meet the specific funding needs of the BC health research community. It allows researchers to protect time to focus on advancing discoveries towards commercialization, providing the opportunity to conduct feasibility research and commercialization activities in order to determine and improve the commercial viability of their intellectual property. It achieves this by providing funding support to a portion of the award recipients’ salaries and/or research personnel directly associated with the award recipient’s proposed research, and for activities directly related to implementation of a commercialization plan.
