HyperGrowth-Life helps build BC's Next Anchor Companies

HyperGrowth Launch

For most tech startups, triple digit growth is an achievement usually relegated to the lucky few who grow up to be unicorns. The exception? Companies that join accelerators to fast-track their growth.

HyperGrowth 3.0, The province’s premier accelerator program is now in it’s third year. The mandate of HyperGrowth 3.0 is to help high-potential startups scale their businesses through mentorship, master led implementation, and strategic guidance on creating in-depth sales, marketing, and financial plans.

Unlike most accelerator programs that cater to early-stage startups that are launching their product and services, HyperGrowth helps companies that are already generating revenue to increase the velocity of their growth and chances of long-term success. “HyperGrowth is a unique platform for high potential companies,” said Bill Tam, President and CEO of the BC Tech Association. “Unlike our larger community programs, HyperGrowth is not for everyone. It’s designed to support companies with an accelerated growth-rate. Not every tech company can become BuildDirect or Hootsuite, but our goal is to nurture the up-and-coming companies that can.”

The success of the HyperGrowth program can be seen in the incredible growth that its graduates have experienced. Former participants have secured over $5 million dollars in investment, doubled their employee headcount, and have seen upwards of a 1000% increase in their revenue since joining the program. One company saw their revenue grow by 200% in just five months.

The program provides an invaluable experience for its participants to learn from the province’s leading executives and advisors and provides tactical training on how to build a successful company. “There were a bunch of little things that made HyperGrowth awesome. We developed a sales process and marketing strategies. We honed our pitch, and we learned from some of the greatest entrepreneurs in Vancouver,” said Andrew McLeod, former VP strategy RentMoola.
