BCTIA Names Finalists for 2015 Technology Impact Awards

Seven companies were featured at the April 30 BC Technology Industry Association (BCTIA) TechBrew event, held at the BCTIA Innovation Hub. TechBrew is an event bringing companies, investors, talent, founders, and other BC tech industry stakeholders together for networking and exposure.

Also at the event, the finalists for the 2015 Technology Impact Awards (TIAs) were announced. The TIAs celebrate innovative companies in various domains of BCs technology industry including enterprise software, digital media, health care, and cleantech. They will be held on June 4, 2015 at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

The featured companies at April’s TechBrew were:

Auro, which provides a 100% Canadian open source cloud infrastructure-as-a-service that promises their clients’ “data is always located in Canada.”

DPoint, which develops and supplies heat and humidity exchangers for fuel cell systems and energy recovery ventilators, and a previous nominee for the Global Cleantech Awards held by the Global Cleantech Cluster Association.

Fortinet, a leading provider of multi-threat security systems serving enterprises of all sizes, and last year’s TIA Company of the Year award winner.

IOT Design Shop, a service provider building smart devices for the Internet of Things.

Machool Technologies, creators of the uDo Platform, which seeks to streamline and automate office tasks, such as shipping and receiving, room booking, and event planning.

nTrust, an online and mobile peer-to-peer money transfer platform that allows users to send, receive, and organize their money instantly. They offer their Cloud Money service, which aims to be “Skype for money”.

Trulioo, a rapidly-growing global identity verification provider specializing in scoring online identities as authentic, machine generated, or fraudulent at a bank-grade level. Trulioo has recently announced a strategic partnership with Callcredit Information Group.
