BCTIA Innovation Hub Welcomes Vonigo as First Tenant

VANCOUVER, BC (December 17, 2014) – The BC Technology Industry Association (BCTIA) is pleased to welcome the first company to call the BCTIA Innovation Hub home. Vonigo, a provider of online management software designed for field service companies, will become the first tenant of The Hub today.

“We couldn’t be more excited,” said John Carter, Co-Founder of Vonigo. “As soon as we saw The Hub we knew it was the kind of place where we wanted to grow our company. The fact that we already serve several clients in the building was an added bonus.”

The Hub offers 500 Mbps internet bandwidth, meeting rooms and convertible spaces, moveable whiteboards, multi-function printers, mail services, reception, a Prototyping Lab, and enough fresh brewed coffee to guarantee that entrepreneurs hit the ground running.

“The Hub is designed to be a collaborative space that encourages innovative companies to work together, fully-loaded with the critical resources and support needed to grow faster and more successfully than could be done by going it alone,” said BCTIA President & CEO, Bill Tam. “We’re thrilled to welcome Vonigo, the 2013 New Ventures BC Winner, as our first tenant.” added Tam.

“We wanted to find a place where our team could access all of the resources it needed, and where the ability to collaborate with other tech companies was not only possible, but encouraged,” added Carter.

Early-stage tech companies and entrepreneurs can choose from fully furnished private offices or open-plan desk space. Landing at The Hub means access to a fully-equipped environment, with a full range of services and amenities, including engagement in Centre4Growth programs and services.

After a successful open house last week, drawing over 200 people eager to tour the new 26,000 square foot space, the BCTIA plans to onboard more tenants throughout the holidays and early 2015.
