AIG’s vision is to be our customers’ most valued insurer and innovation plays an integral role in delivering that value. We are announcing an AIG Canada Innovation Challenge with a $50,000 CAD prize and the opportunity to work with AIG Canada and the Global Innovation Team to test out the winning concept. Opportunities may include: implementing the concept within AIG Canada’s current business, use case ideation workshop, technology pilot, strategic partnership, venture investment or introduction to AIG affiliated accelerator/VC partners.

In order to qualify, submissions should relate to the following areas of focus:

• The use of innovative technologies to create new value for satisfaction and loyalty; or
• Explore industry specific tools and/or solutions to create new business capabilities, new distribution models or new digital insurance capabilities;
• Submissions exploring alternative innovation spaces are welcome

Timeline: 

Application period is September 6th through September 28th. 
Companies will be notified by October 5th if they have been selected to participate in the Challenge and will have until November 15th to submit more details on their solution.
On November 22nd, AIG will announce 10 Canadian-based startups to pitch to a panel of AIG executives and members from the Global Innovation Team.
Demo Day will be held December 9, 2016 in Toronto.
