Cogeco Peer 1 helps organizations design, build and manage hybrid IT solutions optimized for their business, enabling them to focus on what matters most: powering transformation, driving growth and delivering exceptional experiences to their customers. With managed services spanning cloud, hosting, colocation, connectivity and security, Cogeco Peer 1 offers choice and flexibility combined with international reach, deep technical expertise and unshakeable human support.

How many employees currently work at your company?

Globally, we have approximately 650 employees, with a team of over 40 in Vancouver.

Where are you located?

Locally, our data centre is in downtown Vancouver and we have offices across North America and Europe.

Describe the culture at your company.

What we’re really about is bringing a personal touch to solving complex technical challenges. Without a doubt, we own some pretty impressive technology assets with our network and data centres, but the true value comes through the people who put those assets to work to solve customer problems. Just as it takes powerful technology to fuel business growth, it takes unshakable human connections to keep them growing.

What does your leadership team (and company as a whole) do to support/grow that culture?

Our leadership team is down in the trenches with everyone else, fostering a culture of teamwork. We work as a family, which rings true to our local touch in the different cities we reside in. As a company, we work together with the common goal of powering the potential of other organizations looking to scale and grow.

Describe your most recent achievement/milestone as a company.

The last year has proven to be an eventful year for us at Cogeco Peer 1, with the launch of the latest and greatest in IT services, solutions and partnerships, such as SD—WAN, Microsoft Azure and Dell EMC, we have been able to offer our customers the most advanced technology solutions. We also announced significant investments in our network and our data centres – ensuring we continue to offer our customers infrastructure that is fit for the future.
