About this Award

This award acknowledges an early-stage technology company that has brought something novel and impactful to the market, that is generating revenue, attracting team members and creating significant buzz in BC’s tech ecosystem.

10 finalists for Startup of the Year will be announced along with the other finalists on 16 June 2022.

Those 10 finalists will be narrowed down to a top 3 shortlist at a pitch night with a panel of judges on 22 Sept 2022 at a live community event that celebrates the 2022 theme of ‘Ambition’

The Company of the Year: Startup award winner will be announced at the TIA gala and will receive a cheque for $10,000 from BC Tech to accelerate their growth.

Who Should Apply?

Nominees in this category must be:

Revenue positive
Employees of 1 to 10
Selling a technology-related product, service, solution, system or platform
BC-based
