Professional Services – Project Analyst Internship

MaximizerCRM is currently seeking a Project Analyst with knowledge of software development/engineering and a passion for data analysis to influence our product roadmap for years to come.

Reporting to the Manager of Professional Services, the Project Analyst will be an internal resource responsible to review past PS Projects globally to determine which elements of past PS Implementations and create a database with the details which would then inform future decisions from our Product Development teams.

You will apply your outstanding business analytics skills and software engineering expertise to enhance our product by creating a repository upon MaximizerCRM’s existing functionality and enable them to establish new customers and keep existing customers.

Key Role Details/Responsibilities:

  1. Engage with current PS Consultants on staff to understand “Focus Areas” for a project inventory.
  2. Creation of a document template which will be used to collect this information.
  3. Create an inventory of technical attributes of PS Projects (such as Customizations, Scripts, Reports and Deployment projects) delivered since 2010. The content of this inventory will be based on past projects, available technical documentation, and source code and broken down into categories which will be defined at the start of the project.
  4. Classify PS Projects under several different categories to align to product development
  5. Share the inventory and ultimately make key recommendations to inform product development on areas where the core product can be improved or enhanced to resolve a potential customer business need.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Soft Skills
    • Excellent listening and verbal communication and training skills
    • Ability to work both in a team and independently
    • A talent for asking questions and getting details from internal staff.
  2. Product Development Experience
    • Experience working to develop new product offerings is a plus
    • Ability to define and categorize a wide range of technical detail common high level focus areas
    • Ability to comprehend and delineate between the core feature/function areas of MaximizerCRM
  3. Education & Experience
    • 4 year degree / 2 year technical diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology, or currently working to achieve the above
    • 2+ years of experience performing Business Analysis, Project Analysis or Software Product Development
  4. Technical Background
    • Familiarity with MaximizerCRM or an equivalent CRM, ERP or Sales Management Solutions
    • Microsoft SharePoint and SQL Database experience
    • Working knowledge of software development terminology and technology stack (Maximizer primarily utilizes Microsoft .NET, SQL, IIS and related technologies).
    • Ability to review and understand technical documentation
  5. Project Management
    • Ability to define and execute on a repeatable process
    • Development of data entry specifications and standards to support the initiative
    • Self-starter and able to manage own schedule and ensure adherence to project timeline objectives
    • Provide weekly updates to key stakeholders on progress, escalate issues and mitigate risks in a timely fashion.
