Upcoming Outbound Trips

Italy/Germany Industrial Internet of Things (IoT)

Date of Trips: September 15 – 20, 2019
Application Deadline: July 17, 2019

Smart manufacturing, Industrial IoT, and Industry 4.0 tech companies will engage in a week-long program of B2B meetings, networking events and attendance at Industry of Things World in Berlin. The group will then travel for meetings in other manufacturing centres around Germany and finish the program in Italy for targeted meetings with potential customer and partners in the manufacturing sector.

Germany – Autonomous Vehicles

Date of Trips: October 28 – November 1, 2019
Application Deadline: September 1st, 2019

The autonomous vehicle market is estimated to reach $556B by 2026. Chosen companies will attend TU-Automotive Europe, Europe’s biggest gathering of telematics, autonomous car, mobility and other automotive technology executives and decision makers with over 600 attendees. The conference will be followed by B2B meetings with automotive manufacturers in Germany.

Australia / New Zealand – Smart Cities

Date of Trips: October 27 – November 1, 2019
Application Deadline: September 1st, 2019

The similarities of city structures in Australia and New Zealand to those in Canada make this market ideal for Canadian smart city solution providers. Companies will attend B2B meetings in two major Australian cities followed by the Smart Cities Week Australia conference. Smart Cities Week is a global convening of policymakers, practitioners, technologists, researchers and affiliated organizations facilitated by the Smart Cities Council across not only Australia but Asia as well. After the conference, the delegation will then move to New Zealand for B2B meetings with cities and channel partners.

Turkey / United Arab Emirates (UAE) – ICT

Date of Trips: November 24 – 29, 2019
Application Deadline: November 4th, 2019

ICT spending in Turkey reached $32B last year with the UAE representing $4B. In partnership with the Trade Commissioner Service, this trip will focus on B2B meetings with end customers, distributors and partners.

Japan / Korean – Digital Health

Date of Trips: March 15 – 20, 2020
Application Deadline: January 14th, 2020

By 2025 about 25% of the Asia Pacific region’s population will be over the age of 65. This combined with the ever-increasing costs and patient demand creates an excellent opportunity for Canadian digital health solution providers. The trip will encompass targeted B2B meetings with customers, governments and channel partners, and attendance at Japan Life Science week. Within the Life Sciences week are specific events including Smart Health Japan and Medtec Japan. Following Japan, the delegation will travel to Korea for further B2B meetings.
