Educational Institutions

Strengthening the home team advantage.

British Columbia is home to some spectacular universities, colleges and technical schools that are producing top graduates and our industry's future workforce. We are fortunate to have a strong relationship with BC schools at an elementary, secondary, and post-secondary level, and to partner with them on initiatives like Talent Days, the promotion of tech careers, and the BC Tech Scholarship Program.

Connect with Industry

Let us be your middle-man.

If you are looking to connect with the tech industry for curriculum input, survey distribution, co-op and new grad placement, or to find mentors and speakers, you've come to the right place.

Send us an email at talent@wearebctech.com with your request and we will contact you to discuss how to best support you in your efforts.

Promote Tech Careers

Inspire the future.

The BC Tech Association runs and supports initiatives to promote careers in technology and to promote BC as a hub for the tech talent community. From hosting hackathons to supporting student projects, from preparing new grads for the job market to inspiring younger generations to follow careers in technology, we are committed to supporting the tech sector by grooming its future talent.

Our team is often out and about acting as speakers, trainers, mentors, and advocates for the technology industry. We participate in career talks in colleges, universities and coding camps; we lead student tours and tech chats at The Hub; we organize industry consultations with post-secondary and government partners; and we analyze labour market trends - working always to understand, articular, and support the talent needs of the industry.

To stay up-to-date on current initiatives and opportunities, sign up for TalentTalk. If you have an initiative that you would like BC Tech to be involved in, email talent@wearebctech.com with details.
