BC Tech Events

Bringing the Community Together.

At BC Tech, we pride ourselves on being able to host high-quality events that bring the community together to learn, make connections, build relationships, and help tech companies grow. Whether we're teaching entrepreneurs during a lunch n' learn or celebrating with 1,000 industry leaders at the Technology Impact Awards, BC Tech offers world-class events with one vision in mind: To make BC the best place to grow a tech company.

Strengthen your team from the top down.

The BC Tech Association has developed a series of C-Councils, groups in which technology CEOs and C-level executives can share insights, key learnings, and challenges - with a goal of building better businesses.

Unlike other CEO forums or executive roundtables, the content is all business. Each C-Council is carefully curated to ensure that participants are in similar (but non-competitive) businesses and at similar stages of growth. This ensures a peer exchange that is specific, meaningful, and highly relevant to every member.

Connection Days

Building bridges through connections.

Connection Days are part of BC Tech's Growth Programs and are designed to bring BC-based tech companies together with industry leaders, technology buyers and investors to promote strategic partnerships, funding, and company growth. Events occur periodically throughout the year and selection to participate is by invitation or through online application.

Connection Days fall under three main categories: Partners, Customers, and Investors.

Past Connection Day Partners include: Microsoft, LG, Samsung, Tech Mahindra, and Dow.

Grub in The Hub

Learning over lunch.

Designed for busy tech community members, Grub in The Hub offers bite-sized (pun intended!) information on useful day-to-day topics ranging from sales and marketing to 'selecting the right benefits program for your growing team' and delivers it for free during the lunch hour. Grub in The Hub is a FREE event that occurs on select Fridays at 12:00pm. Pizza is provided and attendees are encouraged to eat while they learn.

Talent Days

Meet your next hire.

Talent Days bring together select groups of hiring companies and top-notch candidates with the goal of promoting meaningful connections (and hopefully many hires!). These intimate, casual, innovative and fun events give companies an opportunity to meet with pre-qualified candidates on a one-to-one setting through speed interviews, pitches, or networking.

Every year, applications are received from across the province. Companies of all sizes and from every sector are encouraged to apply to multiple categories, even if they were finalists or winners in previous years.

Women's Entrepreneurship Day

Celebrate the women who inspire the BC Tech Sector.

As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week (November 14-20, 2016), Women's Entrepreneurship Day (WED) is a day to celebrate the significant contributions that women make to drive Canada’s economy. BC Tech is excited to partner with industry-leading organizations throughout the province to celebrate WED on an annual basis. Stay tuned for details on this year's WED Vancouver celebration.
